When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials provided through our sign-in provider. When you connect a database we store encrypted connection metadata (host, port, database name) but never store the contents of your database.
We automatically collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, browser type, and IP address to improve the service.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve QueryBear
- Process transactions and send related information
- Send technical notices, updates, and support messages
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
- Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities
3. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and regular security audits. Database connection credentials are encrypted using AES-256 and never logged in plaintext.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Query audit logs are retained for 90 days by default. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting support@querybear.com.
5. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for authentication (Clerk), payment processing (Stripe), and analytics (PostHog). These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.
